Coil is intellectually brilliant but emotionally stupid. He spent the first half of his life growing up in a nihilistic necromancer cult, and then spent the second half of his life in a fanatical vampire-hunting cult, so is a bit on the repressed side as a result. Has a moral code, but it doesn't align with anyone else's. Is obsessive about the few things that he cares about, and has very big feelings under all that silence and lack of expression.

Has mommy issues. Has no friends (except one). Doesn't hug, but does punch. Is afraid of water.

At first glance, Coil looks like just some grungy teen. Drab hoodies, shaggy hair that falls into his face, cloth scraps wrapped around his palms. Only stands about 5'6". He's easy to overlook or underestimate. However, underneath his loose-fitting clothing, he's actually in excellent physical shape, with a martial artist build. Missing one eye (always under an eye-wrap) and has pronounced scars on his mouth and fingers. His remaining eye is greyish blue, but glows a dim white in low light.

abilities ▼
Clearsight: Has the ability to passively "see" magic. Can pick out magical beings in a crowd, can see through magical illusions and invisibility, know when magic is being used, etc. This does not give him any special immunity/defense to magic, just the ability to detect it. Can also see well in the dark.
Necromancy: Can raise and control the dead, can craft undead constructs, can cause corrosion/oxidation/deterioration in almost any non-magical material, can burn/damage living or dead creatures, etc. Most of his spells require reagents and prep time, often with drawn circles/sigils to trigger it, though some low-level spells can be triggered with a touch, and he can panic-cast higher level spells when under extreme duress. Must keep up regular prayer/ritual habits for any of it to work.
Combat Training: Skilled in hand-to-hand and quarterstaff combat. Deadly with a garrote wire. Pretty darn stealthy and acrobatic. Stronger than he looks. Will take you down one pressure point at a time.

Weaknesses: As a necromancer, healing magic is not as effective on him as it should be, and holy magic has the additional potential to make him sick or even harm him. Though Clearsights are highly resistant or immune to abilities that would trick the eye (such as illusions, magical darkness, etc.), they are more susceptible to being blinded by bright or explosive things (flashbangs, magical daylight, etc.)
